In the early 80's our DC law firm was exiting a divorce case, and Quinlan Hancock was replacing our firm as counsel for wife. Jim Korman was representing husband. In any event,Mr. Mackall was presiding over this and other issues at a hearing at his office. Still recall him and Quinlan quietly and politely sparring around the conference room table over what Quinlan wanted, what Mr. Mackall would allow, and what each could file over at the courthouse, etc. What a treat to watch two gentlemen lawyers work.
